Modelling

Posted in June on June 25th, 2006

Yesterday I had a long-overdue fancy pants haircut at Mahogany Academy in Dering Street.
They are salon that also run courses for hairdressers, so you book in to be a guinea pig at their school.
After hearing some horror stories about people who had volunteered their services at hair academies (of varying reputation), I started to question what I was doing.

“You’ll come back with a pink undercut and they’ll shave your eyebrows off!”

Instead I met a cool guy called Paul (the teacher) and had my hair re-fashioned by a Japanese student called Aki and they took photos of me.

Could not have been more ideal.
Still not quite sure about the end result and my straggly fashionista bits hanging on the side - the hasidic jew look. Oh well.
It grows like grass anyway.

On a completely unrelated note, my friend just told me that Noel Edmonds is apparently suffering from RSI from picking up the telephone on Deal or No Deal.
Hilarious.

Oh my god - and this just in from his website.

Deal or No Deal is such a fantastic success that I shudder at the recollection that when initially offered the show, I actually said – “no deal”. Thank goodness I was persuaded by both Channel 4 and Endemol to think again!

Also a big thank you to the millions of loyal viewers and all of you who have welcomed me back so enthusiastically to your TV screens.

The pressure of hosting Deal or No Deal 6 days a week has necessitated some big changes in my business activities which I have now reduced and rationalised. However I still own a number of companies which would be delighted to hear from you and maybe we can do “the right deal at the right time”!

I really need to go outside in the sunshine.
